Let's Get Ahead

Donate To This Campaign

This year, Penn State Health is embarking on the Let’s Get Ahead campaign to raise awareness and funds to support Head and Neck Cancer services and research across our academic health system. Much like heart or breast cancer awareness month, Penn State Health is launching this special campaign to bring awareness to the prevalence of head and neck cancer.

Each year, more than 55,000 Americans will develop cancer of the head and neck. Nearly 13,000 will die from cancer of the head and neck, and most are curable if caught early. Early detection and prevention are key to saving lives, which is why we’re launching Let’s Get Ahead.
This campaign will fund research that will help improve diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for patients with head and neck cancer in our region and beyond. Your support will help us launch this first of its kind effort to bring funds and awareness to our outstanding academic institute. The fundraising push will culminate with the Fourth Annual Sporting Clay Shoot fundraiser on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Those interested in participating can reserve their spot here.
Lori, a patient at Penn State Health, was being treated for a broken neck from an automobile accident when doctors discovered she had cancer in her throat. A laryngectomy cured her cancer but when she experienced an emergency with her prosthetic device, she needed immediate treatment. The Penn State Health Head and Neck team saved her life and the reason, Let's Get Ahead today!
