In Loving Memory of Trey Schultz
Trey's Story
Our 24-year-old son, Trey Schultz, died on October 24, 2018, from a rare infectious disease called mycobacterium abscessus. Trey had brain surgery as a child and had a VP shunt in his brain, which was the source of his infection. His hospital stay included 12 brain surgeries and a 41-day struggle for life.
In remembrance of the 5-year anniversary of his death and to aid in the research to find cures for the numerous infectious diseases, like COVID-19, we have started the Trey A. Schultz Endowment to support ground-breaking research at Penn State University College of Medicine.
Almost $50,000 dollars have been raised so far, but we need your help! Please consider donating today to be part of the solution in saving lives! Government funding is lacking for this research, so please give generously from the heart.
